On December 9, 2012, Dinora Benavides Niedzwiedz, age 38, was welcomed into the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a five-year battle with cancer. Dinora was the daughter of Felipe Benavides and Gloria Jean Tullos and brother to Derek Benavides.

During her childhood years, Dinora enjoyed travelling and vacationing with her parents and her younger brother Derek. She attended James Pace High School in Brownsville, TX before receiving her BA in Latin American Studies from Southwestern University in Georgetown, TX in 1996.

Dinora married her high school sweetheart, Jason Niedzwiedz, on April 18, 1998. They both called Austin, TX home and had two outstanding boys; Ethan and Asher. She enjoyed playing tennis, reading, Broadway shows, listening to Christian music and traveling with her family. Dinora worked for Texas Municipal League for 16 years in Austin, TX.

Family and friends were Dinora’s delight. She cherished and valued her friends from her Real Life Groups and her sons’ baseball teams. But above all, she cherished the time she spent with her husband and her two sons. She loved attending their baseball, basketball and football games where she played her favorite roles in life–wife/mother, coach and their #1 fan.

Dinora attended Hill Country Bible Church on 620 and enjoyed sharing her faith with others.

Dinora loved reading and reading stories to her two boys and donations in lieu of flowers at her funeral were given to Redeemer Lutheran School to purchase books for the their library.

She loved working with the family insurance business while attending high school and college summers and will forever be missed.
